A YORKSHIRE-BASED entrepreneur has secured the rights to represent a range of safety education products featuring characters from TV cartoon The Simpsons.
Michael Millward, the founder of human resource management company Abeceder, based in Leeds, now plans to market The Simpsons S.A.F.E. Start programme worldwide.
The programme – which has been developed by Twentieth Century Fox and Victor House – consists of a series of posters and safety education products featuring characters from the hit show.
Mr Millward said: "When we were first approached by Victor House Publications and shown the range, I knew they were exactly what was needed to enliven safety education and reduce workplace accidents."
Mr Millward was originally approached by Canadian based safety company Victor House by e-mail. He says that it took him less than two minutes to agree to sell the products. The company has already received enquires from across Europe, Australia and the Middle East. "So many people fall asleep in health and safety meetings, these programmes make it far more interesting and people are attracted by the posters and characters and they will remember the message," he said.
S.A.F.E. Start includes everything needed to run a safety education meeting.
